Approved by the State Council on February 3, 2016, the Changchun New Area is a national-level new area. The Changchun New Area is adjacent to the main urban area of ​​Changchun City.


On March 2, 2016, an overall plan for the Changchun New Area was unveiled by the National Development and Reform Commission, China's top economic planner.


Located mainly in the northeast of Changchun, the Changchun New Area has a planned area of 499 square kilometers.


The Changchun New Area has obvious location advantages, with the solid industrial foundation and good business environment for foreign investment.


It strives to play an important role in promoting construction of the Belt and Road, accelerating the revitalization of the northeast China, and boosting economic development of Jilin Province.
