From January to June, Ordos invested 21.22 billion yuanin people’s livelihood and social undertakings, which accounts for 80.1% of thepublic finance budget.

The city is also implementing the criteriaof targeted poverty alleviation. Since Hangjin Banner no longer met therequirement, it exited after the corresponding acceptance check. The registeredurban unemployment rate is now controlled within 2.9%. Moreover, specialactions have been launched to deal with the long-pending cases regardingperdition letters, inspection and confiscation of firearms and explosives, andpornography, gambling and drug abuse. As a result, eight categories of majorcriminal cases dropped by 14.3%, and petition letters in the city and bannershave decreased by 11.9%.
