席伟航先后担任《北京日报》新闻记者、编辑，总编室编辑，《北京晚报》经济新闻中心主编。之后，席伟航从传媒行业跨界转入政界，先后担任北京市人民政府新闻办公室副主任，北京市互联网宣传管理办公室常务副主任，是中国互联网首任地方主管领导，在推动中国互联网发展和治理方面功绩卓著。之后，又相继出任北京发行集团和北京人民广播电台总编辑、党委副书记；北京广播电视台党委副书记、常务副台长兼北京人民广播电台台长。并曾创办了加拿大华文新闻周报《东方时报》和全国首家地方重点新闻网站——北京千龙网。

目前担任携程集团副总裁、携程集团首席政府事务官。

Xi Weihang joined Beijing Daily and worked as journalist and editor at generaleditorial department; chief editor of economics news center at Beijing Evening News.

He forayed into politics from media industry, successively hold the deputy director atBeijing Municipal Government Information Office, deputy director at Beijing Cyberspace Administration Commission; he is the first local leader of Chinese Internet, and made the great achievements in China's Internet Development and Control.

After that, he became general manager and deputy Party secretary of Beijing Publishing Group; chief editor and deputy Party secretary at Beijing Radio Corporation; executive Vice President and Later President at Beijing Radio Corporation.

He founded Canadian Chinese weekly paper Eastern Times and first major provincial news site Qianlong.com.

Now, he takes the Vice President of Ctrip Group and Chief Government Affairs Officer.
