丘伟宗于1992年获的澳大利亚拉筹伯大学理学学士学位（计算机与经济学）和经济学研究生文凭。2016年10月，丘伟宗加盟马来西亚数字经济发展局 (MDEC) 担任投资与产业发展部的副总裁。他主要负责战略规划，招商引资，大客户管理等投资领域的业务。在他的领导下，公司成功引进 世界《财富》全球500强企业和福布斯2000跨国公司，之后丘伟宗加入马来西亚数字经济发展局担任副总裁一职。

Hew Wee Choong graduated from La Trobe University, Australia in 1992 with Bachelor of Science (Computing & Economics) and Graduate Diploma in Economics. He is the Vice President, Investment & Industry Development (IID) of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) joining in October 2016. As the Vice President, he oversees the business operations in the areas of investment from strategic planning, investment attraction, to key client management. He led the Investor Relations team in attracting large Fortune 500 or Forbes 2000 multi-national companies before moving into his current role in MDEC.
