Mr. José Luis Bernal, Ambassador of Mexico to China

1956年生于墨西哥下加利福尼亚州的美西加里。

拥有墨西哥国立自治大学国际关系专业学士学位及墨西哥经济教学和研究中心公共经济学硕士学位。

贝尔纳尔1979年10月进入墨西哥外交部，1995年晋升为大使。曾任以下职务: 墨西哥驻大韩民国大使，驻蒙古国和朝鲜民主主义人民共和国巡回大使（2013-2017），墨西哥驻捷克共和国大使（2007-2013）, 墨西哥驻瑞士大使，驻列支敦士登公国巡回大使（2002-2007），墨西哥驻亚太经合组织高级代表（2001），墨西哥外交部经济顾问协调员（2001），墨西哥驻加利福尼亚州洛杉矶总领事（1999-2001），墨西哥驻经合组织国土开发政策委员会副主席（1999-2000）墨西哥驻经合组织副代表（1996-1999，巴黎），墨西哥外交部外事服务和人事司司长（1995-1996）等。

Ambassador José Luis Bernal is a career member of Mexico’s Foreign Service since October 1979 and has ample experience on several areas of Mexico’s foreign policy. He has been the Ambassador of Mexico to China since April, 2017.  He served previously as Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, covering also the DPRK and Mongolia, Ambassador to the Czech Republic; and Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein; as Deputy Representative to the OECD, he also was Consul General of Mexico in Los Angeles, California, USA, among other high–level positions in Mexico’s Foreign Ministry.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree on International Relations, SCL, by the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and completed the Master of Arts on Economics in the Center for Teaching and Research on Economics in Mexico (CIDE).
