谢尔盖·瓦季莫维奇·卡纳夫斯基于1961年生于莫斯科。1994年至2004年为斯堪的纳维亚国家俄罗斯代表处外交人员。2006年至2009年担任俄罗斯联邦联邦议会联邦委员会副主席顾问，负责国际合作。2007年当选为上海合作组织实业家委员会执行秘书长。

Sergey Kanavskiy was born in 1961 in Moscow. From 1994 to 2004 Mr. Kanavskiy was a diplomatic worker in the representative offices of Russian Federation in the Scandinavian countries. From 2006 to 2009 he was an adviser of the vice chair of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, where he was responsible for the international aspects of cooperation. In 2007 he was elected as an Executive Secretary of the Business Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
