Wudu lives in Aguixili pasture commune in Uxinzhao Gacha, Ordos. In his childhood, he witnessed how Baori Ledai did her heroic acts in sandstorm governance, which gave rise to a green dream in his young mind.

At that time, Uxinzhao was covered with moving barren sand and barely with vegetation cover. He began to combat desertification under this situation.

As the secretary of the Youth League branch of Gacha, he organized league members to plant trees voluntarily every year. He was in debt of more than 600,000 yuan for sand control, which was the reason why his wife and friends left him in disappointment. However, he never gave up and successfully turned over 10,000 mu of barren sand into an "oasis".
